FG LOWERS THE COST OF JAMB,NECO and BECE REGISTRATION.

The federal government has endorsed a decrease in the expense of  JAMB,WAEC ,NECO SSCE  and the Basic Education Certificate Examination(BECE) registration.

 The Minister of Education,Mallam Adamu  Adamu, briefed the journalists on Wednesday ,at the end of the three-hour FEC meeting ,that  he forwarded  a memo to request  the decrease in the  expenses. He said the reduction resulted from  the requests of  parents.

He also made it known that ever  since the Buhari administration set up a reasonable management  in JAMB,corruption  in the office has been killed.

“Therefore,in response to the desires of parents,President Mohammadu Buhari  has ordered that a critical look be taken into the reduction of the charges,”he  stated.

“So accordinly, from January 2019, expenses will befrom N5,000 to N3,500 for the UTME, Senior Secondary Certificate conducted  by National Examination Council (NECO) from11,350 to N9,850 and Basic Education Certificate taken care of by NECO is decreased from N5,500 to N4,000,” he claimed.

The council additionally endorsed 11 biological intervention projects that is worth N9.6 billion in Lagos, Oyo, Ondo, Cross River, Adamawa, Bauchi, Jigawa, ABU Zaria, Kaduna and Abuja.

It likewise affirmed N4.7 billion for ECOWAS biometric cards to supplant the current ECOWAS travel certificate.
